Two items are urgently needed today. The first is Christ as life, and the second is the church, the Body of Christ, as the expression of Christ. “As Christians, as reborn ones, we must see God’s revelation concerning His eternal purpose. There must come a day when we definitely see that in this universe God has a divine plan, an eternal plan, which He made in eternity and for eternity. If we do not see this, we will be Christians whose condition is below the divine standard. In order to be up to the standard, we must see the eternal plan revealed to us in the whole of the Scriptures.”

To realize the eternal purpose of God, we need to know Christ as our life. God’s eternal purpose is to work Christ into us and to make Christ life to us. Then, when we experience Christ as life, automatically we will have the church life; we will realize the life of the Body of Christ, the church. The more we experience Christ as our life, the more we will desire to have fellowship with the brothers and sisters and to be related with other Christians. Therefore, the more we take Christ as our life, the more we will have the church life. This is what the Lord is looking for today—a group of people who will pay the price to realize the church life.
