If we genuinely love someone, we love their appearing, and if we genuinely love the Lord, we must love His appearing, that is, His coming. John 21 reveals the matter of loving the Lord, and in 2 Timothy 4 we see the matter of loving His appearing. Verse 8 says, “Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, with which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will recompense me in that day, and not only me but also all those who have loved His appearing.”

“In this series of messages we will cover the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. However, we will not cover the second coming in a doctrinal way. Instead, we will cover the Lord’s return in a way that causes us to love the Lord Jesus and to love His appearing.”
