As Christians, we must take Christ as our person for the church life. When we live by taking Christ as our person, we are living in the church life, and our church life will manifest Christ. Our present need is to be strengthened into the inner man so that Christ may make His home in our heart and so that we may live by Him as our person in order to live out the reality of the church life. There are many regulations, doctrines, and teachings in Christianity, telling people what to do and what not to do. But God’s purpose is for us to receive Him and to live Him. God is Spirit, and He wants to enter into us. He wants us to worship Him in spirit and truthfulness. When we worship in spirit, we are released, freed, and enlivened; to worship in truthfulness is to bring Christ, display Him, offer Him to God, and minister Him to man. This is the worship God that desires. It is not a matter of following religious traditions or regulations but of following the Spirit.
