The Bible tells us that salvation is by believing (John 3:16, 18). There is nothing more required. However, there is a part of salvation that God has also set aside as a reward, and this reward cannot be obtained merely by believing. To gain this reward, in addition to believing, we must fulfill certain responsibilities.

“This may be likened to a father setting aside a portion of his wealth as a reward to his children. Although this portion is designated to be given to his children, they cannot obtain it only by being his children. Rather, they must fulfill other requirements. Likewise, rapture is part of salvation, but God has set it aside from the rest of salvation. The additional requirement for rapture is that we have maturity in life. The marriage dinner of the Lamb is a blessing in the millennial kingdom, and receiving a reward includes being co-kings with the Lord in the kingdom. Although these blessings are part of salvation, according to God’s mind, these portions have been set aside as rewards.”
